Located on Broadway, Tootsie’s is one of the most famous honky-tonk bars in Nashville. There is nothing that takes you back in time faster than drinking an old-fashioned in a luxuriously appointed hotel lobby and it is a wonderful experience. The bar has an impressive Bourbon Library which features 208 different bottles of bourbon and is a must-visit for bourbon lovers.Īlthough the bar is currently under construction, you can still enjoy the wide selection of drinks and the historic atmosphere in the Hermitage Hotel’s beautiful lobby and on their stunning veranda. The Oak Bar opened in 1910 as the hotel’s gentlemen’s club and interestingly, it weathered through the Prohibition Era by serving bourbon in teapots. It was the height of luxury with mahogany paneling, telephones, and private baths in all of the rooms and the lobby featured marble floors and columns. When construction began on the Hermitage Hotel in Downtown Nashville in 1908, it was set to be Nashville’s first million-dollar hotel. You can dine on inexpensive southern-style dishes like bologna sandwiches and hamburgers and beers are only $2.50 which makes this an excellent choice for people on a budget who still want to experience the best that Nashville has to offer. There is a dance floor and ample seating so you can take your pick as to whether you want to be out shaking your groove thing or having it sit firmly in a chair. The bands are always great and the atmosphere is really fun and convivial. Known as Nashville’s Home of Traditional Country Music, Robert’s Western World is one of the best places on Lower Broadway to go for live music. This is not necessarily the place where you want to relax and linger for a while however, they do offer a decent Sunday brunch which is a great way to start a day of bar-hopping in Nashville! Robert’s Western World The bar is one of the most trendy places in Nashville and attracts the “cool” crowd of the city so come prepared. With a prime location on the top of the Thompson Nashville in The Gulch, this rooftop lounge offers sweeping views of the Nashville skyline from its floor-to-ceiling windows and outdoor spaces. While Nashville is well-known for its laid-back attitude, Patterson House is more reminiscent of a high-end New York cocktail bar than a honky-tonk and it is one place where you will want to dress to impress. Everything is a bit on the pricey side but that is to be expected. The bar is super stylish with delicious cocktails made by master mixologists, and small plates perfectly compliment the drinks.
